Authenticity, aesthetics and charm!

If you want to get an authentic experience of living in a real historical property Casa Pombo is the right place to stay! Don’t get deceived by its imperceptible facade, you will be stunned by the architecture and decor indoor. A charming courtyard shaped by arches transfers you centuries backwards momentarily. The hotel keeps high standards of services a traveler needs to feel like home - the room was clean, the bed was very comfy, AC was working properly, good quality toiletries, wonderful breakfast, etc.

I wish there was room service or a small restaurant on a spot, it was unfortunate not being able to order some food and wine to enjoy a beautiful night on the rooftop

Beautiful gorgeous colonial house in Cartagena that needs a little bit of love

the front desk person Julio César was such an amazing host, he took really good care of me and my fiancé. I also loved the architecture of the house. next time I want to rent one of the apartments inside the house and not just a room. the room we stayed at was a bit small and dark and damped.

our room was the only thing I did t like, I think it just needs renovation, the shower drain didn’t drain as intended and the water was almost reaching the bedroom, the shower part of the bathroom didn’t have a door so water splashes happened often. also the window in the bathroom had two gaps on the side and Cartagena is incredibly hot and humid so it was hard to keep the bathroom dry and cool. very damped and the room had low crawling so it was just dark over all. I had a chance to look at the apartments and I would definitely come back with my family to rent one of those. they are gorgeous. one last thing and this is not Casa Pombos fault or the staff’s fault. the house is located on a busy street and if you have a room facing the plaza you won’t be able to sleep. it is increasingly noisy with the many hustles on the streets playing loud rap music.

A perfect blend of comfort and old world feel

Great old town location with all major attractions within easy walking distance. The hotel is a converted mansion with beautiful design and style. The staff was very friendly and helpful, including arranging for a travel Covid test. Included breakfast was great. The room has a huge private balcony that overlooked the city.
